sex, lies and videotape

I am a sucker for films that explore intimacy and that give space for the characters to actually reveal themselves to us. sex lies and videotape does just that and so elegantly! james spader is the original demisexual wanting to explore and talk and to have meaningful conversations and that's what brings andie mcdowell to understand that her so called relationship with her husband is not it because there's more to what connection is and what intimacy is (and also on the account of the cheating)... beautifully shot, we get so close and personal with every character. i love a film that lets the characters do their thing in a small space, and thats what all this film is about! loved it
